Students who participated in "12th Delhi state yoga championship ".

 

Students revised their concepts of  "AREA" through a computer game and got to learn more about 3-D shapes and their volume. Also they were able to visualize front side, top view & side view of 3-D shapes.

S.D.P.S oragnized a " rocksport camp " for students.Each child explored their adventurous side and enjoyed it to the fullest.Whole class showed enthusiastic participation.A glimpse of all the activities like river crossing , rock wall climbing , zorbing , tent pitching , burma bridge , hopscotch , commando net , tug of war , hamster wheel etc can be seen in the following pics.

Diwali celebrations going on in our class.Students enthusiastically participated in class decorations and rangoli making.

Skit presentation on the topic " Handicapped Person " by Priyanshu , Sneha , Raghav , Harshit , Disha , Aditi and Sudhanshu.
They conveyed the message - Every handicapped person has some ability in him / her. So we should not ignore them because they can also be talented.

PEC Activity in which students played a game related to equivalent fractions.They had to throw the ball with a fraction written on it in their respective basket which matches the equivalent of that fraction.

                                            " A HANDICAPPED LIFE "
People who are handicapped and cannot walk
Others don't give them right to laugh and talk
They are always bound with a wheelchair
Expected to sit like a quiet more
They can't use their leg
For mere attention they always beg
People concentrate only on their disability
But they don't see their gift of ability.
We don't see their plight
We always see their disability sight
Some people give them shock by locking them in their ignorance box
Like us they cannot walk or dance.
But for moving ahead we should give them a chance
Please give them their right
So that the next day of their life becomes bright.

                          Life skills activity was organised based on the theme of Team work.
The students worked in different teams to draw and decorate the picture of  "Lord Ganesha"
The winner team drew the picture using waste material and were the first one to complete with proper co-ordination of all the team members.

Raghav Garg of class V - B had enacted and delivered the famous dialogues of  Vallabh Bhai Patel in the event " JEWELS OF INDIA " held on 31st august'13 at Happy Hours School, Pitampura .

Priyanshu and Kritika of class V B had prepared & presented a patriotic poem in the interschool competition which was held on 31 Aug ' 13 at "Happy Hours School , Pitampura "

The students of class V B had prepared and presented a skit on the topic "Honesty is the best policy "
in their life skills period.

The skit was based on the moral - " Do not use bad ways to earn money. Always be honest and earn money by your hard work."

Students played games related to four operations that required them to apply their learnt concepts.

Class assembly of V-B

                                 The topic of assembly was " CIVIC SENSE ".

 

The assembly kicked off with news headlines followed by wonderful thought for the day. One student gave a speech on what civic sense is all about. Afterwards few of them presented a skit and taught how each one of us can contribute to make our society a better place to live in.
